Call meeting to order -Jill Drake, Chairman 4:37 pm. <br />2. Citizens Forum: Benny Plata announced that this was his last meeting and how he has enjoyed the association. <br />3. Approval of minutes of April 12, 2016. Motion was made by Phillip Peeples and seconded by Randy Hider. The <br />motion carried. <br />4. Coordinator report: In Cheri Bedford's absence Robert Talley gave her report: <br />a. Farmers Market opening was a huge success, <br />b. Preservation Month is May - Presented two BIG Grant checks — Steve Harper and Chris Dux <br />Working with HPC on "This Place Matters" where business is featured. <br />c. Awards for Wine Fest ready to be awarded to winners. Need to set a date to give away awards. <br />1. LMAO- Best Venue <br />2. Dat Ragin Cajun & Cozy Cappuccino Tied for Best Food <br />3. Fairhaven's from Hawkins, Texas - Best Winery <br />d. Movies in the Park sponsorships all complete except one concession stand and 5 games. Major sponsors <br />complete. <br />e. Restroom complete and Donor Plaque almost complete. <br />5. Election of Committee Chair: Promotion —Jill Drake nominated Cody Kelley as Chairman <br />The nomination was seconded by Phillip Peeples. Motion carried. <br />Committee Reports - <br />a. Organization- Jill Drake — no report- Please study work plan before next Meeting. <br />b.PDA/ Design -Glee Emmite- PDA working on new Second Saturday Poster and they are interested in the Kiosk <br />placement. <br />c. HPC/ ER- Phillip Peeples- having to step down on ER committee due to time constraints <br />d. Promotions- Movie in the Park- sponsors filled — hoping to hear from Young Life to help with games <br />e.VCC /Chamber- Becky Semple- City Wide Event — Air Show- May 14, 2016- Entrance Fee $5.00 a car full - <br />Future events in the planning is a Marathon next year that will bring lots of folks to Paris -Plan is to use Trail de <br />Paris. A suggestion was made by Robert Talley that an Informational Sign on the Trail about Beneficial Snakes. <br />6.Future agenda items: Work Plan is on the agenda for our next meeting June 14, 2016. Please study & bring your <br />work plan to the meeting. <br />Motion to adjourn was made by made by Laurie Redus. second by Phillip Peeples.
