Paris —Lamar County Health District <br />400 West Sherman Street, Paris, Texas 75460 -5646 <br />Health District: (903) 785 -4561 <br />,�� Women, Infant and Children (WIC): (903) 784 -1411 <br />WEAM Fax: (903) 737 -0978 <br />www.parislamarhealth.com <br />Minutes of Regular Meeting <br />Paris - Lamar County Board of Health <br />The Paris - Lamar County Board of Health held a Regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, May 16th, 2016. <br />In attendance were Mr. Bill Collins, Dr. Rick Erickson, Dr. Keith House, and Dr. Robert White. <br />Others in attendance were Mrs. Gina Prestridge and Ms. Cheryl King -Teer. <br />Dr. Mark Gibbons and Mrs. Nancy Stallings were not in attendance. <br />Mr. Collins called the meeting to order in open session at 5:36 p.m. <br />Dr. White made the motion and was seconded by Dr. House to approve the minutes from the prior meeting. All <br />approved. <br />Mrs. Prestridge advised the board on the following items /subjects: <br />• Medicaid Number — Mrs. Prestridge has been attempting to acquire a Medicaid number for <br />the Paris -Lamar County Health District for the last three years and finally got a number last <br />week. The E -PHC grant will be going away in a couple of months and will lose this funding. <br />• Employee Training — Sent Dana Stone for a two -day training on how to file Medicaid and <br />insurance claims. Mrs. Stone left the training after 45 minutes and did not return, so she <br />was given the opportunity to resign or be fired and she resigned. We will be advertising for <br />a billing clerk. <br />• Building Issues — The roof is leaking from the southeast corner of the building and goes <br />towards the northeast comer. The WIC program will pay for most of the repairs and then <br />Mr. Andy Fasken will pay for the remaining amount. <br />• Zika Virus — Mr. Mohammad Sadath has been on the radio advising everyone about the <br />"Zika" virus. Mr. Sadath reminded everyone to wear long sleeves, and spray containing <br />deet. The Paris -Lamar County Health District has packages of information to pass out <br />instructing how to draw samples and where to send them. The City of Paris has log sheets <br />and making public service announcements. <br />• Immunization Audit — We had a very good immunization audit with only a few findings. <br />Nothing major. <br />• Malpractice Policy and Approval - Dr. Sherry Scott is currently working for the Paris -Lamar <br />County Health District and she does not have any personal liability insurance. Dr. Scott is <br />getting insurance and the Pans -Lamar County Health District will pay a percentage of the <br />premium. All agreed. Board suggested the policy and requirements to include <br />200,000/600,000 minimum limits. <br />• Midyear DSRIP Reporting — The Paris -Lamar County Health District is on target and <br />should meet the DSRIP goal and receive the funding. <br />rrr MN I <br />
