The City
Council did not approve the PEDC Budget at the meeting, although they shared their concerns about
the budget, asked that changes be made, and that the PEDC bring those changes to the August 8, 2016,
Council meeting.
There were five areas of concern the Council had:
1. Council: Perceived overlap in Depot Operations. PEDC Discussion: We divided out the
Utilities to get average monthly costs and put in $12,000 to cover utilities.
Telephone /Communications was at $3000 until we realized the Director's phone of $2000
had not been included. The total went to $5000. Depot Operations was left at $15,000 so
that we have as small amount left for any equipment problems.
2. Council: Spec Building Marketing is not needed in budget when the Spec Building has not
been approved. PEDC Discussion: Omit the marketing since the Spec Building is not
approved.
