REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />107 EAST KAUFMAN <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />WEDNESDAY AuEust 10, 2016 <br />Commissioners Present: <br />Chris Dux, Chair <br />Sarah Barbee, Vice Chair <br />Pat Conrad, Secretary <br />Skipper Steely <br />David Alarid <br />Linda Knox <br />City Staff: <br />Cheri Bedford, HPO <br />Robert Talley, Code Enforcement <br />Chairman Dux called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. <br />Absent: <br />Council Liaison Matt Frierson <br />Phillip Peeples <br />Guest: <br />John Godwin <br />2. A motion was made to approve the meeting minutes of July 13,2016 by Commissioner Barbee, seconded by <br />Commissioner Conrad, motion carried. <br />3. CONSENT AGENDA - -- <br />[Items appearing on this consent agenda may be approved by a single vote of the Commission, with such <br />approval applicable to all items appearing on said agenda. Ifany Commission member desires to discuss and <br />consider separately any item appearing on the consent agenda, that Commission member may do so by <br />requesting that the item be removed from the consent agenda and considered as a separate item.] <br />Discussion and possible action regarding the following structures considered by code inspectors to be in violation <br />of Article III of Chapter 7 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, entitled "Substandard and <br />Dangerous Buildings and Structures," to determine whether such buildings or structures can be rehabilitated and <br />designated on the National Register of Historic Places, as a recorded Texas Historic Landmark, or as historic <br />property as designated by the City Council of the City of Paris. <br />Chairman Dux asked the commissioners if there were any properties that they would want to pull for review from <br />the consent agenda individually. Commissioner Steely asked to pull all the listed properties from the consent <br />agenda to review. Code Enforcement Supervisor Robert Talley made presentation to the Commissioners on all <br />properties. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Steely and seconded by Commissioner Alarid to send Items A& B to <br />building and standards motion carried. <br />The following properties were recommended to send to the Building and Standards Commission for repair. <br />Item C Motion by Commissioner Knox and seconded by Commissioner Conrad, motion carried <br />Item D. Motion by Commissioner Alarid and seconded by Commissioner Knox motion carried. <br />Item E: Motion by Commissioner Barbee, seconded by Commissioner Conrad, motion carried <br />Items F. Motion by Commissioner Alarid, seconded by Commissioner Knox, motion carried <br />
