<br />ORDINANCE NO, 7000-0,7

<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
<br />PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY
<br />OF PARIS BE AMENDED BY ADDING A SECTION 21-106 THERETO
<br />ESTABLISHING ZONING FEES; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO
<br />EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF
<br />ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS
<br />AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN
<br />EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, finds and determines that
<br />significant costs are incurred by the City in processing requests for changes under the Zoning
<br />Ordinance; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council deems it appropriate to assess a portion of those costs on the
<br />parties seeking action under said Ordinance; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Texas Local Government Code, the City Charter, and the Constitution and
<br />laws of the State of Texas authorize the City to assess fees and costs incident to the regulation of
<br />land use within the City; NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
<br />TEXAS:
<br />
<br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this ordinance are hereby in all things
<br />approved,
<br />
<br />Section 2. That a Section 21-106 be, and the same is hereby, added to Ordinance No, 1710,
<br />the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, to read as follows:
<br />
<br />"Sec. 21-106. Zoning Fees.
<br />
<br />"The following fees shall be required of all applicants seeking action under
<br />this ordinance:
<br />
