(June 21, 2016) <br />Public hearing and consideration of and action on the petition of Sign Installation Group, LLC on <br />behalf of Gary Callaway on Lot 10 & 11, City Block 250, being located at 2350 North Main Street. <br />A. Section 28 -4 (b)(2) of the Sign Ordinance which provides that "The sign area of detached signs <br />shall be limited to one and one -half (1' /2) square feet per front foot of property upon which the <br />same is placed. If the property on which the sign is located has multiple right -of -way frontages, <br />each street frontage shall be counted for purposes of determining detached sign area. A <br />property shall be permitted more than one (1) detached sign, provided no sign shall exceed <br />three hundred (300) square feet in sign area." The applicant has proposed the 311 square feet of <br />detached signage. The maximum allowed per sign ordinance is 300 square feet. The applicant <br />is asking for an additional 11 square foot variance of detached signage. <br />B. Section 28 -4 (b)(3) of the Sign Ordinance which provides that "Detached signs shall not exceed <br />thirty (30) feet in height above the highest adjacent roadway surface." The applicant has <br />proposed the sign height to be 80 feet. The maximum allowed for the sign height is 30 feet. The <br />applicant is asking for an additional 50 foot variance on the height of the sign. <br />4. Adjournment. <br />POSTED: WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 7, 2016 N."
