<br />ORDINANCE NO. 2000-00~ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY <br />OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY <br />THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) <br />WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (52) SIGNS AND BILLBOARDS ON LOT 1, CITY <br />BLOCK 321, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO JEREMY NEWBERRY, SO AS TO <br />INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A COMMERCIAL <br />DISTRICT (C); DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE COMMERCIAL DISTRICT <br />(C) WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (52) SIGNS AND BILLBOARDS SO ESTABLISHED; <br />PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALING ALL <br />ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND <br />PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF FEBRUARY 1,2000. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble of this ordinance are hereby, in all <br />things, approved. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning Map and Ordinance <br />No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby, changed, and that a <br />COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (52) SIGNS AND <br />BILLBOARDS be, and the same is hereby, established on LOT 1, CITY BLOCK 321, on <br />property belonging to JEREMY NEWBERRY, so as to include in such COMMERCIAL <br />DISTRICT (C) WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (52) SIGNS AND BILLBOARDS the hereinafter <br />described property, which was formerly and is presently designated as a COMMERCIAL <br />DISTRICT (C), and that the boundaries of said COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) WITH SPECIFIC <br />USE PERMIT (52) SIGNS AND BILLBOARDS, be, and the same are hereby, established as <br />follows: <br /> <br />SITUA TED within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, County of <br />Lamar, and State of Texas, being a part of the Reddin Russell Survey, and being <br />a part of a 19.996 acre tract of land conveyed to Russell A. Gifford and Herman <br />M. Hindman by deed recorded in Volume 364, Page 503 of the Deed Records of <br />said County and State, and being more particularly described as follows: <br />BEGINNING at a stake for corner in the South Boundary Line of Spur <br />Highway 139 at the Northeast corner of said 19.996 acre tract of land; <br />THENCE South 2 Deg. 30 Min. West a distance of 763 feet to a stake at <br />the Southeast corner of said 19.996 acre tract of land; <br />THENCE North 75 Deg. 30 Min. West along the North Boundary Line of <br />Loop Highway 286 a distance of 540 feet to a stake for corner; <br />THENCE North 4 Deg. East a distance of 665 feet to a stake for corner; <br />THENCE along the South Boundary Line of Spur Highway 139 as follows: <br />South 89 Deg. East a distance of 165 feet to a concrete marker; South 75 Deg. East <br />
