6 Discussion regarding the status of the new hangar construction project. <br />Carla Easton, City Engineer stated that we will have a bid opening on October 27, 2016 at <br />2:30 pm in the City Council Chambers for the new hangar construction project. Paula <br />Portugal asked when the construction might begin. Mrs. Easton stated normally TxDOT <br />projects begin construction 90 days after the bid is awarded due to paperwork. Mrs. <br />Easton stated she would inform the Board at the November meeting about the bid opening. <br />7. Discussion regarding the use of existing hangars. <br />Paula Portugal stated that according to the City of Paris Ordinances it's required to have a <br />Specific Use Permit to live in one of the hangars at the Airport. Mrs. Portugal stated she is <br />aware of citizens living in one of the hangars at the Airport and is wondering if they have <br />done everything that is required. Ashley Fendley stated that we are not aware of a Specific <br />Use Permit however we are still researching this issue. Carla Easton stated that a Specific <br />Use Permit is handled through the zoning process which would go before the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission. Mrs. Easton further stated that we will continue to research this issue <br />for the November meeting. <br />8. Discussion regarding the hangar leases. <br />Dennis Ashby stated that the delinquent letters that Stephanie Harris, City Attorney is <br />sending seems to be working. <br />9. Requested items for future agendas. Delinquent hangars, discuss development <br />opportunities, Use of existing hangars and new hangar construction project. <br />10.
