MINUTES <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />107 E. KAUFMAN STREET <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />MONDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2016 <br />5:30 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission on Monday, November 7, 2016, was <br />called to order at 5:3 O p. m. by Holland Harper, Chairman. <br />A. The following members were present: John Lee, Holland Harper, Robert Spain, <br />Jerry Akers and Chad Lindsey <br />B. The following members were absent: Mike Folmar and Barney Bray <br />C. Also present were Alan Efrussy, Planning Manager; Carla Easton, City Engineer; <br />Stephanie Harris, City Attorney; Steve Clifford, City Council; Triniti Frazier, City <br />Staff and concerned citizens. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (October 17, 2016) <br />Motion was made by John Lee, seconded by Jerry Akers to approve minutes for the <br />October 17, 2016 meeting. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />3. Public hearing to consider and take action regarding the petition of Evan Evans on behalf <br />of Sami Ebrahim for a change in zoning from Commercial District (C) to a Commercial <br />District (C) with a Specific Use Permit (45- Auto Fuel Sales), on City Block 170 -C, Lot 15, <br />being located at 2735 South Church Street. <br />Public hearing was declared open. <br />A. One individual spoke in favor. <br />Sam Ebrahim, Heath, Texas spoke in favor of the petition. Mr. Ebrahim stated that <br />he is the developer of this project. Mr. Ebrahim stated this truck stop will not have <br />showers it will just be fueling only. Mr. Ebrahim further stated the truck stop will <br />have a Taco Casa. <br />B. No one spoke in opposition. <br />Public hearing was declared closed. <br />Motion was made by John Lee, seconded by Chad Lindsey to approve the petition. <br />
