Council Member Clifford said he may not agree with what Mr. Steely and Mr. Alarid <br />say, but he did not feel it was appropriate to remove them from the board and he was very much <br />opposed. He said no one knew as much history about Paris as did Mr. Steely. Council Member <br />Trenado questioned board policies and if the two board members had met with staff. He said it <br />appeared that the two board members wanted to simply do what they wanted to do. Mayor <br />Hashmi said his opinion was that everyone could voice their opinion. Council Member Trenado <br />inquired if the two board members participated in discussion and Mr. Godwin said they did <br />participate in the meetings, which included the board and city staff members. Council Member <br />Jenkins and Lancaster were opposed to removing the two board members. <br />A Motion to deny removal of both board members was made by Mayor Hashmi and <br />seconded by Council Member Clifford. Motion carried, 5 ayes — 1 nay, with Council Member <br />Trenado casting the dissenting vote. <br />4. Adjournment. <br />There being no further business, a Motion to adjourn was made by Mayor Hashmi and <br />was seconded by Council Member Drake. Motion carried, 6 ayes — 0 nays.
