REGULAR MEETING MINUTES CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS 107 EAST KAUFMAN PARIS, TEXAS WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 14, 2016 Present: Linda Knox Skipper Steely David Alarid Pat Conrad Chris Dux, Chair Leah Rolen Sarah Barbee, Vice Chair City Staff Liaison Cheri Bedford, HPO Council Liaison: Matt Frierson Guests: Sims and Becki Norment Lyle and Diane Edwards Mr. David Hoskins Quality Roofing Barbara Wilson Marvin Gorley Jalane Pointer 1. The meeting was called to order 4:00 P.M by Commissioner Dux 2. A motion was made to approve the minutes of the November 9, 2016 meeting by Commissioner Alarid, seconded by Commissioner Steely, motion carried 7 -0 3. Consent Agenda items: Discussion and possible action regarding the following structures considered by code inspectors to be in violation of Article III of Chapter 7 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, entitled "Substandard and Dangerous Buildings and Structures," to determine whether such buildings or structures can be rehabilitated and designated on the National Register of Historic Places, as a recorded Texas Historic Landmark, or as historic property as designated by the City Council of the City of Paris. Commissioner Steely asked to pull item 3B 408 N.E. 10th from the consent agenda for future discussion. A motion was by Commissioner Alarid made to send Item 3A -1420 W. Cherry to the Buildings and Standards Commission since it cannot be rehabilitated or designated on the National Register of Historic places, recorded as a Texas Historic Landmark, or as a property designated by the City Council of the City of Paris. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Barbee, motion carried 7 -0 Chairman Dux requested discussion on item 3B be moved to the end of the agenda
