<br />"G. Confiscated weapon inventory and tracking systems; <br />"H. Locks, chains, alarms, or similar security devices; <br />"I.. The purchase or repair of bullet-proof glass; and <br />"J. Continuing education on security issues for court personnel and <br />security personnel. <br /> <br />"(3) A technology fee, upon conviction of a misdemeanor offense in <br />municipal court of offenses committed on or after the effective date of this <br />ordinance and before September 1, 2005, in the amount of four dollars <br />($4.00) for the municipal court technology fund. In accordance with <br />Article 102.0172, Code of Criminal Procedure, the fund may be used only <br />to finance the purchase of technological enhancements for the municipal <br />court, including: <br /> <br />"A. Computer systems; <br />"8. Computer networks; <br />"C. Computer hardware; <br />"D. Computer software; <br />"E. Imaging systems; <br />"F. Electronic kiosks; <br />"G. Electronic ticket writers; and <br />"H. Docket management systems. <br /> <br />"(b) A person is considered convicted if: <br />"(1) A sentence is imposed on the person; <br />"(2) The person is placed on community supervision, including deferred <br />adjudication community supervision; or <br />"(3) The court defers final disposition of the person's cas~. <br /> <br />"(c) All such fmes and fees collected under this Section shall be paid into the City <br />treasury for the use and benefit of the City or as the laws of the state direct and <br />shall be administered by or under the direction of the governing body of the <br />municipality. " <br /> <br />Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly <br />repealed. <br /> <br />Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective on September 1, 1999. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of July, 1999. <br /> <br />~y <br /> <br />
