<br />ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />99-002 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY <br />OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY <br />THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISIDNG A GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT <br />(GR) ON LOT 7, CITY BLOCK 224, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO DEBBIE NORTH, <br />SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A ONE- <br />FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO.2 (SF-2); DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF <br />THE GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT (GR) SO ESTABLISHED; PROVIDING FOR A <br />PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS <br />OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWIm; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE OF FEBRUARY 1,1999. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning Map and Ordinance <br />No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby, changed, and that a <br />GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT (GR) be, and the same is hereby, established on LOT 7, CITY <br />BLOCK 224, on property belonging to DEBBIE NORTH, so as to include in such GENERAL <br />RETAIL DISTRICT (GR) the hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is presently <br />designated as a ONE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2(SF-2), and that the boundaries <br />of said GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT (GR), be, and the same are hereby, established as <br />follows: <br /> <br />SITUA TED within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, County of <br />Lamar, and State of Texas, being a part of the George W. Cox Survey, being Lot <br />7, City Block 224, and being more particularly described as follows: <br />BEGINNING at a stake in the East Boundary Line of 20th Street S.E. at the <br />Northwest comer of the tract of land conveyed to L. R. Crook and husband, M. <br />B. Crook, and Finis White and wife, Myrta Vola White, on February 6, 1947, by <br />deed recorded in Volume 295, Page 273, Lamar County Deed Records; <br />THENCE North with the East Boundary Line of 20th Street S.E. a distance <br />of 90 feet to a stake; <br />THENCE East a distance of 190 feet more or less to a stake in the East <br />Boundary Line of the tract of land conveyed by W. B. Oakes and wife, Sallio <br />Oakes, to J. W. Crook on April 16, 1910, by deed recorded in Volume 128, Page <br />569, Lamar County Deed Records; <br />THENCE South a distance of 90 feet to a stake at the Northeast comer of <br />the above-mentioned Crook-White tract of land; <br />THEN CE West a distance of 190 feet more or less to the place of <br />beginning, being number 101 20th Street S.E. <br />
