Item No. 8 <br />memorandum <br />TO: Mayor & City Council <br />John Godwin, City Manager <br />FROM: Jerry McDaniel, Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: ANNUAL CONCRETE BIDS <br />DATE: February 8, 2017 <br />BACKGROUND: This is the annual bid for curb /gutter, standard driveway approaches, and <br />reinforced concrete sidewalks to be used by the Street Division, Water Distribution, Sewer <br />Maintenance, and Parks Divisions. The bid tabulation sheet is attached for details of the bids. <br />STATUS OF ISSUE: The City of Paris Public Works Department has received sealed bids for <br />concrete work and would like to award bid according to lowest bidder. <br />BUDGET: Monies are budgeted in the Street, Water Distribution, Sewer Maintenance, and <br />Parks Divisions. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Award bid to Breshirs Construction LLC as indicated on the attached <br />bid tabs, in the approximate amount of $153,537.50. These are estimated amounts with no <br />guarantees. <br />
