She stated that there is an arson <br />case on this property and that Mr. Maberry hasn't released the property yet. The <br />property is a total loss and she wants to get a loan and have the structure <br />demolished. Mr. Michael Robertson has been hired to be in charge of the demo. <br />Mr. Robertson said that once Mr. Maberry releases the property they will start <br />recovering what they can from the fire. Mr. Wilson explained to Mrs. Stewart that <br />a demo permit needs to be applied for. Mr. Robertson said he's sure he can have <br />the paperwork completed in 30 days and then have the demo done. <br />Motion was made by Johnny Norris, seconded by Wendell Moore to give <br />Mrs. Stuart 60 days to demolish the property. J., 490 NW 24th / 2375 <br />Plum, City of Paris, Block 242, Lot 24 <br />J. 490 24th NW/ 2375 Plum, City of Paris, Block 242, Lot 24 <br />Owner: Willie Dalton Jr., 490 24th NW 2375 Plum Paris, TX 75460 <br />Present: Sally Becerra 923 Meandering Way Mesquite, TX 75150 <br />No back taxes are owed. <br />Robert Talley explained that this property has deterioration to the front roof on <br />the porch, bowing, missing wood, rot, shingles are worn, grounds building up on <br />the edge and causing roting, there are two holes in the roof and a limb on the roof. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Mrs. Becerra stated that her father passed away one year ago. The building is used <br />for storage. She is cleaning it out so they can demo it but she lives in Mesquite <br />and can only do it on the weekends. She asked for 60 -90 days to finish the work <br />and have it demolished. There has been no vandalism. <br />Motion was made by Johnny Norris, seconded by Chris Brown to give Mrs. <br />Becerra 90 days to demolish.
