Austin Apt. 123 Denison, TX 75020 (If Mr. Smith <br />gets the ok to start repairs he is going to secure a deed for contractor.) <br />No taxes owed. <br />Mr. Talley stated that this property has deteriorating wood, sheetrock, and is <br />unsecure with open windows. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Mr. Smith explained that he wants to level the property, replace the windows, put <br />new steps and paint on the structure. He said the roof is not leaking. <br />Zac Saffle asked what time frame Mr. Smith was looking at. The commission <br />reminded Mr. Smith he has to get permits for the repairs. Mr. Smith said he could <br />have the structure secured this week and repairs done in two months. <br />Motion was made by Johnny Norris, seconded by Zac Saffle to give Mr. <br />Smith 7 days to secure the property and 60 days to repair the property. <br />Motion carried unanimously. 4 -0 <br />Request was made by Robert Talley to move to item 3. D., 715 NW 5th, City <br />Block 88, Lot 16 <br />D. 715 NW 5th, City of Paris, Block 88, Lot 16 <br />Owner: Odessa King, 4314 Cicero St. Dallas, TX 75216 <br />Present: John King, 936 E Ledbetter Dr. Dallas, TX 75216 <br />No back taxes are owed. <br />Robert Talley explained that this property was brought to the commission several <br />months ago. The property is unsecure with open doors and windows. Broken <br />windows, deterioration of the houses walls and roof. The inside is stripped of <br />wiring, holes inside and you can see through to the outside. There is also water <br />damage inside the house. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Mr. King asked for 90 days to repair the house. Mr. King just opened a funeral <br />home in Paris and plans to secure the house and demolish the shed in the back. <br />Motion was made by Vicky Ballard, seconded by Zac Saffle to give Mr. King <br />2 days to secure the property and 90 days to repair the property.
