Mr. Talley also stated that the owners of the church are worried that people <br />will start trying to come into the church as well. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Mr. Wilson asked Sue Lancaster if this house was worth saving. Mrs. Lancaster <br />stated that it was not. She has been underneath and could see rotten wood as well <br />as termite damage. <br />Motion was made by Johnny Norris, seconded by Wendell Moore to follow <br />Robert Talley's recommendation for the property owner to demolish the <br />property in 30 days, if not the City has the right to demolish and apply a <br />$1000 per day civil penalty to the property. Motion carried unanimously. 5 -0 <br />4. Code Enforcement update. <br />(A) 350 NW 4th came before BSC a couple of months ago. Tree fell, causing the <br />entire front porch to collapse, there are holes in the roof. It had orders to be <br />demolished within 30 days. Since that time Mrs. Verdie Williams who is <br />listed as one of the owners of the home contacted Mr. Talley. She now lives in <br />Texarkana, Arkansas. She stated that a neighbor called her to tell her the <br />house had been tagged for demolition. She was upset that she wasn't informed <br />of this. She states she received the house in her divorce. Mr. Talley asked if <br />she ever contacted the Appraisal District to change her mailing address and <br />she said she had not. She states she is the sole owner and had plans to repair <br />the house and move back in it. There is $10,069.44 in back taxes owed. Mr. <br />Norris wanted to know if she was aware of the back taxes. Mr. Talley was not <br />sure if she did. Mr. Wilson asked that this be put on hold and Mrs. Williams <br />be contacted and told she has 30 days to prove that she is the sole owner of the <br />house. Mr. Talley stated that he wants it brought back before BSC next month. <br />Motion was made by Johnny Norris, seconded by Zac Saffle to table this and <br />re -hear it at the May 2013 meeting. Motion carried unanimously. 5 -0 <br />(B) Mr. Talley handed out receivership definition. Mr. <br />Talley stated that she is deconstructing it herself and has boarded up the <br />side structure <br />(2) 350 NE 30th has pulled a demolition permit <br />
