MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />WEDNESDAY JUNE 12, 2013 <br />12:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The meeting of the Historic Preservation Commission was called to order at 12:00 p.m. by <br />Chairman Paul Denney. <br />A. The following members were present: Paul Denney, Lauri Redus, Britin <br />Bostick, Douglas Cox, and David Stewart. <br />B. Vice Chainnan Ben Vaughan and Commissioner Nancy Anderson were absent. <br />C. Also present: Joey Sleeper, Historic Preservation Officer, Clifton Fendley and <br />Jenny Wilson <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meeting. (May, 08, 2013) <br />Motion was made by Britin Bostick and seconded by Douglas Cox to approve the <br />minutes as written. The motion carried 5 -0. <br />3. Consideration of and action on the following Certificates of Appropriateness: <br />A. Demolish accessory structure, 554 South Main Street, Clifton Fendley <br />Chairman Denney introduced the item and called the applicant, Clifton <br />Fendley. Mr. Fendley explained that he owns the subject structure which is <br />dilapidated and unsightly and needed to be demolished. With no questions of <br />the applicant, a Motion to allow Mr. Fendley to demolish the structure was <br />made by Lauri Redus and seconded by David Stewart. Commissioner Cox <br />commented that the quality of the exhibits were poor and difficult to see. The <br />motion carried 5 -0. <br />B. PCT Children's Center, 115 Clarksville Street, Jenny Wilson <br />Chairman Denney introduced the item and called the applicant, Jenny Wilson. <br />Ms. Wilson explained that the proposed sign was designed according to a Texas <br />Historic Commission recommendation. She further stated that the sign would <br />be 3 feet tall and 20 feet long and constructed of an aluminum composite <br />material. With no questions of the applicant, a Motion was made by Britin <br />Bostick and seconded by Lauri Redus.
