Cheri asked him to report on the fountain floor. Tile is not historic, got a quote from architect on <br />replacement options that are more historically correct, and less slippery. Parks department is close to making <br />a decision. <br />Matt asked about public restrooms; No current plans, not required by law, and more of a <br />convenience. <br />Karie R asked where parks department is on Bywaters Park remodel. Bill said the Mayor <br />spearheaded some ideas, but that is waiting on a forward motion. Irrigation would cost approximately $20K <br />but also waiting on the parks master plan so it doesn't have to be done twice. <br />5. Managers' report: <br />a. Clarksville street project has now been complete. Would like to have sort of a block party <br />recognizing the efforts of the city and the Clarksville street project /and businesses. <br />b. Grand Theater, Paul Denney from Denney Architects has completed a scope of work for repairs, <br />includes facade roof and entry, will be presented at the council meeting on January 28th. Support <br />needed <br />c. Planning for next Holiday in Paris- Next meeting February 20th Noon at Community Room Bring <br />lunch, all invited. <br />d. Fountain Floor: presenting to HPC idea from Bryco, the same company who restored Peristyle. <br />Patterned concrete floor with polymer concrete/ expansion joints, approx. $5K to fix. Good fix to <br />safety issue. Meeting for HPC at 4:00 p.m. January 28th' 2012. Council Chambers. <br />6. Committee reports: Committee's went over 2013 work plan. <br />Organization: Casey Ressler, <br />a. Committee recommended making minor adjustments to parismainstreet.org website, by making updates <br />and maybe more modern, streamline, links to info etc. For time being, drop the idea for <br />downtownparistexas.com. Too much updating needed. <br />b. Keep social media like it is, utilizing Downtown Paris, Texas Facebook page <br />c. Main street presentations to clubs. Please help with this, Cheri will get list of places she has already been. All <br />can help. Volunteers. <br />d. Orientation for new volunteers: Matt Coyle reminded everyone that we can use the packets given to new <br />businesses to help with volunteer recruitment. <br />e.
