D. Motion was made by Nancy Waldrum to approve the BIG application of Janet and Keith Green <br />for $5,000.00. Second by Jill Drake. Motion carried. <br />6. Coordinator report: <br />A. Texas Capital Fund -Cheri reported the City of Paris received 33 letters of support for the <br />sidewalk grant application. <br />B. Beatrice Ardila and Jerry Coyle were appointed to the Board. Beatrice will fill the position of <br />Board member and HPC liaison. <br />C. Festival of pumpkins: all vendors are placed and Triniti Frazier has been very helpful in the last <br />few weeks! Downtown Pumpkin Patch is being run by the women at Paris Baby. Funds raised will <br />support the downtown Christmas light purchase. <br />D. Holiday in Paris schedule is set. Brochure that is going to be passed out at the Festival of <br />Pumpkins was given to Board. <br />7. Committee Reports <br />A. Organization- Jill Drake and Ashlea Mattoon held a meeting via email as they are the only <br />members of the committee besides Cheri. First goal is to recruit new c 'tee members and Jane <br />Adams, formerly of R3bi , will join c `tee. Thank you postcard notes were printed and will be sent <br />out to various volunteers. <br />B. Design —Nancy Waldrum reported that a meeting was held on October 10th. The work plan was <br />updated and new priorities were determined. An update of the downtown map is needed as well. <br />Discussion was held on the idea of an "Urban Trail " - a trail from Eiffel Tower and Veteran's <br />Memorial to downtown. To "Tell the story of Paris" ideas included coordinating the history of the <br />area, Camp Maxey, the fire of 1916 with the 100' anniversary (commemoration) of the fire. Next <br />mtg will be Nov 7 noon. <br />C. Promotions - Karie Raulston absent, tabled. <br />D. ER — Matt Coyle- No meeting this month, but is going to set one up for January 2014. <br />F. Chamber report — none given <br />8. Future agenda item: Urban Trail; downtown lighting and Board training to be scheduled for <br />January 2014. <br />9.
