Paris Public Library Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />June 12, 2013 <br />Opening: <br />The regular meeting of the Paris Public Library Advisory Board was called to order at 4:00 pm. <br />Present: <br />Board members present were Fran Neeley, Deborah Hatley, Alice Woodard, Hilda Mallory, Linda <br />Vandiver, Pat Books, Ann Norment, and Library Director, Priscilla McAnally. <br />I. Approval of Minutes <br />The May 15, 2013 minutes were approved and distributed. <br />II. New Business: <br />A. The Director distributed a brochure, "Art Work at the Paris Public Library ", containing <br />biographical information on the artists: John Biggers, Jerry Bywaters, and Jose <br />Cisneros. More information will follow on the art works themselves. <br />B. A brochure for "Twice Upon a Time Storytellers" was distributed and considered for <br />possible adult programs. <br />III. Old Business: <br />Judith Kimbrough was an additional applicant for the Library Advisory Board. <br />IV. Presentations <br />a. Budget Report: Negatives amounts were minor, including funds spent on additional <br />postage, more library cards and bar codes. Money from furniture and fixtures -mino <br />will be spent on chairs in the public computer access area. <br />b. Statistical Report: Number of library cards was down due to routine purging of <br />unused cards. Circulation was down, visits were up. <br />C. <br />V. Friends of the Library: <br />No report from Friends. <br />VI. Director's Remarks: <br />Director is thinking of spending $1,350 for one year of IndieFlix.
