Paris Economic Development Corporation Meeting Minutes January 15, 2013 Board Members Staff Present: Kenny Dority, Vice - Chairman Present: Steve Gilbert, PEDC, Exec. Dir. Bruce Carr Toni Clem, Secretary /Treasurer Bill Harris (Joined at 3:07 p.m.) Ex- Officio Members Present: Melissa Cook, Chamber President John Godwin, City Manager Legal Counsel: Kent McIlyar City Council Liaison: None Shannon Irarrentine, PEDC Guest(s) Present: Connie Beard, The Paris News Charles Richards, eParisExtra Hank Betke, R3bi Director Kenny Dority, Vice - Chairman, established that a quorum was present and called the meeting to order at 3:02 p.m. Minutes from December 10, 2012, Regular Board meeting were reviewed. Bruce Carr made a motion that the Minutes be approved as submitted; seconded by Toni Clem. Motion Carried 3 -0. Financials for November, 2012 were reviewed. Bruce Carr made a motion to approve the Financials, as submitted; seconded by Kenny Dority. Motion Carried 3 -0. Note: Bill Harris joined the meeting at 3:07 p.m. Steve Gilbert told those present that Doug Wehrman, Chairman, was in the hospital with pneumonia and was not able to attend the meeting. The C -Tech Building has been leased by Winfield Solutions a subsidiary of Land O' Lakes. He passed around the publication "Expansion Solutions" showing the ad promoting J. Skinner Baking Company. He told those present that he would be going to Austin the latter part of the week to start the process of how to obtain grant funding from the USDA /TDA in the amount of $250,000 to $500,000. In addition, the dates have been set for Lamar County Days in Austin, March 26 -28, 2013. Discussion and possible action to amend the FY 2012 -13 Budget. Discussion and possible action regarding the 2013 Operational Priorities and Business Plan Implementation Year 2. Toni Clem made a motion that the above two items be discussed at a future meeting or workshop; seconded by Bill Harris. Motion Carried 4 -0.
