MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PARIS - CITY HALL <br />COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />107 E. KAUFMAN STREET <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />MONDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 2011 <br />5:30 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission on Monday, February 7, <br />2011, was called to order at 5:42 p.m. by Curtis Fendley, Chairman. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Curtis Fendley, Chairman <br />Keith Barnett <br />Benny Plata <br />James Price <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Richard Hunt <br />Dennis Chalaire <br />C. Shawn Napier, Director of Engineering, Planning and Development; Jeanna Scott, <br />City Staff; and Elizabeth Flick, Ex- Officio. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meeting. (January 3. 2011) <br />Motion was made by Benny Plata, seconded by Keith Barnett to approve the minutes for <br />the January 3, 2011 meeting. Motion carried 4 -0. <br />3. Public hearing and consideration of and action on the petition of the City of Paris for a <br />change in zoning from a Light Industrial District (LI) to a Public Lands and Institution <br />District (PLI) on Lots S and 6, Block 1, Smith's 2 Addition, being number 165 West <br />Center. <br />Public hearing was declared open. <br />A. The following individuals spoke in favor of the petition: <br />Shawn Napier, Director of Engineering, Planning and Development spoke in favor <br />of the petition. Mr. Napier stated the city is moving the old warehouse to this new <br />location. The City of Paris is in the process of remodeling the building to <br />accommodate the warehouse. <br />
