The following individuals spoke in favor of the petition. <br />Harry Martin Davis, 834 East Oak Street, property owner spoke in favor of the petition. <br />Mr. Davis stated he moved his computer business to this location. There will not be any <br />additional traffic in the area; he further stated he is looking for a different location that this <br />is a temporary situation. Mr. Davis stated he has four to five clients per day coming to the <br />site. <br />The following individuals spoke in opposition of the petition. <br />Doloris Eudy, 734 E. Oak Street, spoke in opposition of the petition. Ms. Eudy stated she <br />was driving down the street and there were six to seven cars out front and she was unable to <br />pass without going off the pavement. Cars are sitting in the middle of the street and she <br />is unable to pass, there is just not enough parking for this business. Ms. Eudy further <br />stated her major complaint is all the traffic and cars parked were you cannot pass. <br />Mary Ferguson, 725 Jackson, spoke in opposition of the petition. Ms. Ferguson stated she <br />doesn't understand how they got the building in the first place; the traffic is so bad with <br />people racing down that street. This street is to narrow to have all the additional traffic. <br />Public hearing was declared closed. <br />Motion was made by Keith Barnett, seconded by Holland Harper to deny the petition. <br />Motion carried 5 -0. <br />4. Public hearing and consideration of and action on the petition of Harry Martin Davis for a <br />change in zoning from a Two - Family Dwelling District (2F) to a Commercial District (C), <br />on Lots 13 and 14, Block 8, Gibbons Park Addition, being located at 834 East Oak Street. <br />No action taken because item 3A was denied. <br />S.
