Paris Public Library Advisory Board <br />Minutes - July 21, 2010 <br />The Paris Public Library Advisory Board met Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at 4 p.m. in the library gallery. In the <br />absence of Chairman Bill Kennedy, Vice -Chair Linda Vandiver presided. Others in attendance were Debbie <br />Anderson, Hilda Mallory, Eddie Poole, and Director Priscilla McAnally. <br />Minutes from the previous meeting were approved as printed. <br />The downloadable music is doing well on the website. Fifty -five songs a week are available, and they are being <br />used. Eighteen patrons have signed up for the downloadable audio books. Sign -up for the books must be done <br />on a library computer, but access thereafter may be accomplished from any computer. The limit on the books is <br />ten at a time, and they are checked out for three weeks. <br />There were three "Cure a Fine" certificates given away in the blood drive. Eight pints of blood were collected. <br />The statistical report is up slightly over last year. Balances in the trust funds are $78,053.68 in the permanent <br />fund and $82,911.83 in the expendable fund. The memorial donations fund stands at $38,000. <br />There being no further business on the agenda, the meeting was adjourned at 4:30 p.m. <br />Submitted by <br />Debbie Anderson, Secretary <br />
