MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE LIBRARY Received <br />ADVISORY BOARD <br />February 15, 2006 MAR 2 3 2006 <br />City of Paris <br />City Clerk <br />The Paris Public Library Advisory Board met in regular session Wednesday, February <br />15, 2006, at 4:00 PM in the library. The following Board members were present: Jackie <br />Alsobrook, Debbie Anderson, Deborah Hatley, Audrey Lakes and Fran Neeley. Also <br />attending was Priscilla McAnally, Library Director. <br />The minutes from the January meeting were approved. <br />The budget report was favorable. <br />Ms. McAnally discussed the need for a new board member. Board member Carl Lucas <br />submitted a letter of resignation effective February 8, 2006 due to relocation of his family <br />to Arkansas. <br />Ten new chairs have been received for the area around the reference desk. More will <br />probably be ordered. <br />Desks for the back office area have been ordered and are expected to arrive within 90 <br />days. The desks were purchased with monies from the Loan Star Libraries grant. <br />No written report available for January circulation. Josie Carrington, library worker who <br />provides the report, has resigned. <br />Friends of the Library president Amanda Green is on maternity leave but submitted the <br />following report: <br />The library is continuing to bring in $80 -150 per week on book sales. <br />Spring meeting announcements will go out next month for the April 24 luncheon. <br />A Junior Friends group will be organized this summer. <br />
