Received
Paris Public Library Advisory Board
Minutes of the Regular Meeting JUL. 0 5 2007
A Al ?4 2007
P City of Paris
City Clerk
The Paris Public Library Advisory Board met in regular session Wednesday afternoon, April 25, 2007, at 4
o'clock at the library. Chairman Bill Kennedy called the meeting to order. Other members in attendance were
Deborah Hatley, Audrey Lakes, Debbie Anderson, Eddie Poole, Hilda Mallory, Jake Street, and Fran Neeley.
Also in attendance was Priscilla McAnally, Library Director.
The minutes of the March meeting were approved as submitted.
The Board agreed to taking the approximately $20,000 additional needed for the carpet from the Memorial
Fund.
There were no unusual items in the budget for March. The statistical report showed a slight decrease from last
year in circulation and library visits. Children's Librarian Tracy Hoffart has implemented Story Time on
Thursdays. Judge Superville comes in to read to the children on Fridays. Tracy is also involved in the tutoring
program at First Christian Church, taking library books for the children to read.
Plans for more adult programming are being worked out — possibly one of the library staff currently cataloguing
could be switched to that emphasis.
Billy Book needs repair, and the Board agreed those repairs should proceed.
There being no further business, the chairman adjourned the meeting at 4:30 p.m.
Debbie Anderson, Secretary Date
