Paris Public Library Advisory Board <br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting <br />July 18, 2007 <br />The Paris Public Library Advisory Board met in regular session Wednesday afternoon, July 18, 2007, at 4 <br />o'clock at the library. Chairman Bill Kennedy called the meeting to order. Other members in attendance were <br />Deborah Hatley, Audrey Lakes, Debbie Anderson, Hilda Mallory, Fran Neeley, and new member Linda <br />Vandiver. Also in attendance was Library Director Priscilla McAnally and Friends of the Library Co- Chairman <br />Amanda Green. <br />The minutes of the June meeting were approved as printed. <br />New board member Linda Vandiver was introduced and welcomed to the group, <br />The board voted in these officers: <br />Bill Kennedy, Chairman <br />Fran Neeley, Vice- Chairman <br />Debbie Anderson, Secretary. <br />As of July 18, there is still $33000 in the book budget. Most if not all of that will be spent before the fiscal year <br />ends. Circulation and library visits were both up over last year. There were 20 programs last month with 1700 <br />people in attendance. <br />The Friends report several new members as a result of the last mailout. The fall program is scheduled for <br />October 5. <br />New fine rates and item limits go into effect October 1. <br />The library director is going to Columbus, Ohio, in September for the Association of Small & Rural Libraries <br />meeting. This trip is largely financed by NETLS. <br />There being no further business, the chairman adjourned the meeting at 4:18 p.m. <br />Debbie Anderson, Secretary <br />
