BOARD `ved <br />PARIS PUBLIC LIBRARY ADVISORY BO M <br />FEBRUARY 20, 2008 a :i *d , <br />PR u <br />The Advisory Board of the Paris Public Library met Wednesday afternoon, February 20 8A 4 o'clock in <br />the library. In attendance were Library Director Priscilla McAnally, Friends of the Li irman <br />Amanda Green, and Board Members Deborah Hatley, Debbie Anderson, Jackie Alsobroo Audrey Lakes, <br />Linda Vandiver, Fran Neeley, Bill Kennedy, and Eddie Poole. Chairman Bill Kennedy called the meeting to <br />order. <br />The January minutes were accepted as printed. The Community Information Policy was accepted with <br />revisions. Suggestions were made for revisions to the Patron Services Policy, and additional suggestions will be <br />emailed to the Director before the next meeting. Board members received proposed Gallery and Building <br />Facilities Policies to study before the next meeting. <br />The budget and statistics reports for January were reviewed. They reflected no unusual activity. <br />The Friends luncheon is slated for April 24 with Len Bauman as the speaker on dream interpretation. Library <br />card applications and other information will be available at Kids Safe Saturday March 29. The Friends are <br />investigating the possibility of applying for a matching grant from Nordstrom for books for babies, kits <br />containing baby's first book, etc., for newborns and mothers. <br />March 25 -29, Priscilla McAnally and two library staff members will attend a convention in Minneapolis. <br />HVAC needs replacing at a cost of $4600 which is in the budget. <br />There being no further business on the agenda, the chairman adjourned the meeting at 5 p.m. <br />Submitted by <br />Debbie Anderson, Secretary <br />
