Main Street Advisory Board Meeting <br />July 19, 2011 <br />City Council Chambers <br />Members Present: <br />Cheri Bedford <br />Ashlea Mattoon <br />Michael Cody <br />Judge William Harris <br />Britin Bostick <br />Kari Daniel <br />Dustin Lindsey <br />Becky Semple <br />Guests: <br />Edwin Pickle <br />Connie Beard <br />Meeting called to order at 4:05 p.m. <br />Ashlea Mattoon, secretary presided in the absence of Chairman, Matt Coyle. <br />Ashlea welcomed new members Michael Cody and Judge William Harris. Cheri asked for them <br />to give a brief introduction of themselves to the board. <br />Meeting minutes for May 2011 (corrected) and June 2011 approved. <br />Managers Report: <br />10 Criteria for National Recognition Main Street City requests a copy of each committee work <br />plan. Cheri brought copies of the previous committee work plans, and asked each committee to <br />review this month and make necessary adjustments to be submitted along with the 10 Criteria at <br />the first of August 2011. These plans were updated in May of 2010, with the exception of <br />Economic Restructure, who updated in August 2010 <br />Loss of business, Covington Credit- moved out on 35 & 39 Lamar Ave., Richard Dixon is <br />beginning some facade improvements to the building and will be requesting a Facade Grant at <br />next HPC meeting. <br />Other facade grants requested are Gary Waite, for 15- 1" SE/ 102 Lamar, <br />New Businesses: Skinny Grill, on 136 Clarksville Street- Owner Kenya Edzards, <br />Creative Candy Designs, 115 S. Main, owner Jennifer Bethea, <br />Girls and Cake, 102 Clarksville, owner, Candace Mayer <br />Randy Rader is snaking improvements to the facade of 7 E. Plaza, and is working on replacing <br />windows in the top portion of the building based on Texas Main Street Design Renderings. <br />Randy is requesting a facade grant at the next HPC meeting. <br />
