MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 11, 2012 <br />12:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by Paul Denney, Vice <br />Chairman at 12:00 p.m. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Paul Denney, Vice - Chairman <br />Douglas Cox <br />Ben Vaughan <br />Nancy Anderson <br />Britin Bostick <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Arvin Starrett, Chairman <br />David Stewart <br />C. Also present Cheri Bedford, Main Street Manager; and Jeanna Scott, Historic <br />Preservation Officer. <br />2. Consideration of and action on the following Certificate of Appropriateness: <br />A. 926 South Church Street — James N. McClesky — James McClesky, property <br />owner presented the petition. Mr. McClesky stated he is proposing to build a <br />storage shed in the backyard behind the fence. The storage building will be twelve <br />by twenty feet; the color will match the existing house. Commissioner Vaughan <br />asked what siding material will be used. Mr. McClesky stated he will be using <br />hardi - board. Motion was made by Ben Vaughan, seconded by Britin Bostick to <br />approve the COA. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />3. Consideration of and action on the following Tax Exemption: <br />A. 7 East Plaza — Randy Rader — Motion was made by Ben Vaughan, seconded by <br />Nancy Anderson to approve the tax exemption. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />4. Presentation of J.J. Culbertson Family Video provided by Skipper Steely. Commission <br />viewed presentation video. <br />5. Future agenda items. Bring to the commission a modification to the guidelines to permit <br />a flora polymer paint coated aluminum clad wood window as an option for window <br />replacement. <br />
