MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2012 <br />12:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by Paul Denney, <br />Chairman at 12:00 p.m. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Paul Denney <br />Douglas Cox <br />Britin Bostick <br />David Stewart <br />Nancy Anderson <br />Lauri Redus <br />Ben Vaughan <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />None <br />C. Also present Jeanna Scott, Historic Preservation Officer; Robert Talley, Code <br />Enforcement Supervisor and John Godwin, City Manager. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (August 27, 2012) <br />Motion was made by Ben Vaughan, seconded by Nancy Anderson to approve the <br />meeting minutes for August 27, 2012, with corrections. Motion carried 7 -0. <br />3. Consideration of and action on the following Certificate of Appropriateness: <br />A. 4 North Plaza — Two Rivers Antiques — Janet Green, business owner presented the <br />petition. Ms. Green stated she brought the goose for commissioners to see, the <br />sign will be flat and approximately eight feet wide. The width between columns <br />is fifteen feet so this will allow the sign to be center to one side and give Kelley's <br />the space on the other side. Kelley's will also be coming before the commission <br />to place their sign on the opposite this sign. Motion was made Britin Bostick, <br />seconded by Nancy Anderson to approve the COA. Motion carried 7 -0. <br />B. 131 Bonham Street — Fitzgerald Law — Alex Pickering, Scott's Custom Signs <br />presented the petition. Ms. Pickering stated they are placing their name on each <br />side of the door and they are also proposing a blade sign. They may not add the <br />blade sign at this time but they wanted to get it approved. Motion was made by <br />Ben Vaughan, seconded by Lauri Redus to approve the COA. Motion carried 7 -0. <br />
