MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />WEDNESDAY, MARCH 9, 2011 <br />12:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by Arvin Starrett, <br />Chairman at 12:00 p.m. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Arvin Starrett, Chairman <br />Douglas Cox <br />Ben Vaughan <br />Paul Denney, Vice - Chairman <br />Matt Coyle <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Susan Scholz, Secretary <br />C. Also present were Jeanna Scott, City Staff; Cheri Bedford, Main Street <br />Coordinator, Rhonda Rogers, Council Member; and Zachary Branch, Ex- Officio. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous minutes. (February 28, 2011) <br />Motion was made by Ben Vaughan, seconded by Jerry Raper to approve the minutes for <br />the February 28, 2011 meeting. Motion carried 6 -0. <br />3. Consideration of and action on the following Certificate of Appropriateness: <br />A. 606 Church Street – Sims and Becki Norment – Sims Norment, property owner <br />presented the petition. The two car garage is deteriorating beyond repair due to <br />serious foundation issues. Mr. Norment stated they will demolish the existing <br />garage and replace it with a three car garage that will match the architecture of the <br />original garage. Motion was made by Ben Vaughan, seconded by Jerry Raper to <br />approve the Certificate of Appropriateness. Motion carried 6 -0. <br />— CONSENTAGENDA - -- <br />[Items appearing on this consent agenda may be approved by a single vote of the <br />Commission, with such approval applicable to all items appearing on said agenda. If any <br />Commission member desires to discuss and consider separately any item appearing on <br />the consent agenda, that Commission member may do so by requesting that the item be <br />removed from the consent agenda and considered as a separate item.] <br />
