MINUTES <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 201.1 <br />4:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by Paul Denney, <br />Vice - Chairman at 4:05 p.m. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Paul Denney, Vice - Chairman <br />Ben Vaughan <br />Nancy Anderson <br />David Stewart <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Arvin Starrett, Chairman <br />Douglas Cox <br />C. Also present were Jeanna Scott, Historic Preservation Officer; and Cheri Bedford, <br />Main Street Manager. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (September 14, 2011) <br />Motion was made by Ben Vaughan, seconded by David Stewart to approve the <br />September 14, 2011 meeting minutes. Motion carried 4 -0. <br />3. Consideration of'and action on the following Certificate of Appropriateness: <br />B. 442 South Main Street — Lamp Lighter — Jedediah Irwin, property owner, <br />presented the petition. Mr. Irwin stated they had someone kick in the stain glass <br />that is located at ground level to gain entry into the facility. Mr. Irwin further <br />stated they installed safety glass panels into the existing wood frame to help <br />alleviate that problem. They will eventually restore the original stain glass and <br />place it back in those windows. Motion was made by David Stewart, seconded by <br />Nancy Anderson to approve the COA. Motion carried 4 -0. <br />A. 400 Church Street — Holy Cross Episcopal Church — No action taken, Ben <br />Vaughan must recuse and there was no quorum. <br />4. Future agenda items. Presentation from Ben Vaughan regarding safety glass and tint <br />film options. <br />
