D. 36 Clarksville Street — Sugar Shack — H.E. Mackey, Jr. presented the petition. <br />Mr. Mackey stated they will be adding window graphics above the door and two 18 <br />inches in diameter coke graphics on either side of the front door. Mr. Mackey presented <br />a border to the commission which was not placed on the application. Commissioners <br />informed Mr. Mackey he would have to come back to the commission to get approval on <br />the border. Motion was made by Douglas Cox, seconded by David Stewart to approve <br />the COA. Motion carried 6 -0. <br />Motion was made by Ben Vaughan, seconded by Nancy Anderson to recuse Britin <br />Bostick from item 3E. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />E. 208 South Main Street — Bois d' Arc Restaurant — Matthew Coyle presented the ` <br />petition. Mr. Coyle stated they will be setting a cooler on the north side of the property <br />next to the building. The cooler will be painted to match the stripes on the main building. <br />Motion was made by Douglas Cox, seconded by David Stewart to approve the COA. <br />Motion carried 5 -0. <br />Motion was made by Ben Vaughan, seconded by Douglas Cox to return Britin Bostick to <br />the meeting. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />G. 35 Lamar Avenue — Texas and Beyond — Beverly Roberts presented the petition. <br />Ms. Roberts stated they will be adding window graphics to glass just right of the front <br />door. Motion was made by Ben Vaughan, seconded by Britin Bostick to approve the <br />COA. Motion carried 6 -0. <br />Motion was made by Nancy Anderson, seconded by Britin Bostick to recuse Ben <br />Vaughan from items 3F and 5. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />F. 400 Church Street — Holy Cross Episcopal Church — Ben Vaughan, contractor <br />presented the petition. Mr. Vaughan stated please disregard the lighting request for the <br />sign, he will come back to the commission with an entire lighting package for the church. <br />They are proposing to install copper down spouts and handrails. The down spouts will be <br />located where the original overflow scuppers are over the pilasters; currently the <br />overflow of water from the scuppers is draining down the pilasters and causing the wall <br />to sink. Commissioners questioned the placement of the down spouts on the pilasters; it <br />would be less prominent if placed between window and pilaster. Mr. Vaughan stated <br />they would have no problem moving those over. Mr. Vaughan further presented the <br />petition regarding the stainless steel handrails will be replaced with the period handrails <br />with an addition to the door that does not currently have handrails. Motion was made by <br />Nancy Anderson, seconded by Douglas Cox, to approve the COA subject to the down <br />spouts being located to the recessed area between the pilasters and outer windows. <br />Motion carried 5 -0. <br />Motion was made by Britin Bostick, seconded by Douglas Cox to bring Ben Vaughan <br />back to the meeting. <br />
