MINUTES <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />MONDAY, JULY 26, 2010 <br />4:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by Arvin Starrett, Chairman at <br />4:00 p.m. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Arvin Starrett, Chairman <br />Douglas Cox <br />Ben Vaughan <br />Matt Coyle <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Susan Scholz, Secretary <br />Jerry Raper <br />Paul Denney, Vice- Chairman. <br />C. Also present were Cheri Bedford, Main Street Coordinator; and Rhonda Rogers, City <br />Council Member were also present. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous minutes. (June 28, 2010; July 14, 2010) <br />Motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes for the June 28, 2010 and July 14, 2010 <br />meetings. Motion carried unanimously. <br />3. Consideration of and action on the following Certificate of Appropriateness: <br />A. 574 Church Street — Sears presented the petition. Motion was made and seconded to <br />approve all except the bay windows. Motion carried unanimously. <br />B. 222 Clarksville Street — David Norris presented the petition. Motion was made and <br />seconded to approve the sign as presented. Motion carried unanimously. <br />4. Report, discussion and possible action on adopting policies and procedures for facade grants. <br />Commission discussed the fagade policy and procedures. Motion was made and seconded to <br />approve the Incentive Grant Program Policies and Procedures reflecting changes made by the <br />commission. Motion carried unanimously. <br />5. Report and update, f -om the Main Street Advisory Board by Matt Coyle. <br />Matt Coyle reported to the commission, informing the commission on the ongoing work at the <br />Farmers Market. Currently they are working to clean the green areas at the market. <br />
