Motion carried 4 -0. <br />Discussion of and possible action regarding the following structure considered by code <br />inspectors to be in violation of Article III of Chapter 7 of the Code of Ordinances of the <br />Cith of Paris, Paris, Texas, entitled "Substandard and Dangerous Buildings and <br />Structures, " to determine whether such building or structure currently located within the <br />city's historic district has special historic significance and should be protected from <br />demolition and recommended_ for rehabilitation and repair being located at 347 Bonham <br />Street. <br />Commissioners discussed the possibility of this property being rehabilitated. Douglas <br />Cox asked if the property owners had been contacted. Robert Talley, Code Enforcement <br />Supervisor stated he had been in touch with the property owner and it was his opinion <br />that they are willing to rehab the property. Motion was made by Ben Vaughan, seconded <br />by Douglas Cox to send this property to the Building and Standards Commission for <br />repair only. Motion carried 4 -0. <br />6. He <br />wants to get this to Building and Standards to get an order to force the owner to repair the <br />roof. The building is structurally sound and could be easily repaired. Paul Denney asked <br />if the City of Paris has gotten an administrative order to go into the building and see what <br />kind of roof is on the building. Robert Talley stated no they have not. Motion was made <br />by Douglas Cox, seconded by Jerry Raper to send this property to the Building and <br />Standards Commission for repair only. Motion carried 4 -0. <br />7. Future agenda items.
