MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 13, 2010 <br />12:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by Paul Denney, Vice <br />Chairman at 12:00 p.m. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Paul Denney, Vice - Chairman <br />Douglas Cox <br />Ben Vaughan <br />Jerry Raper <br />Matt Coyle <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Arvin Starrett, Chairman <br />Susan Scholz, Secretary <br />C. Also present were Shawn Napier, P.E., Historic Preservation Officer; Cheri <br />Bedford, Main Street Coordinator; Zachary Branch Ex- Officio Youth <br />Commission Member, and Rhonda Rogers, City Council Member. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous minutes. (September 27, 2010; October], 2010) <br />Motion was made by Jerry Raper, seconded by Matt Coyle to approve the minutes for the <br />September, 27, 2010 and October 1, 2010 meetings. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />3. Consideration of and action on the following FaVade Grants: <br />A. 32 Clarksville Street — Spangler's — Motion was made by Matt Coyle, seconded <br />by Jerry Raper to approve the Fagade Grant in the amount of $1,000.00. Motion <br />carried 5 -0. <br />4. Report, discussion and possible action on the sub- committee nomination for- the 2010 <br />"Hayden Award for Historic Preservation ". <br />Matt Coyle made the report to the commission. Mr. Coyle stated the sub - committee <br />discussed the possible nominees being the Main Street Advisory Board, and Daniel <br />Gallery. Ben Vaughan stated the sub - committee considered the Main Street Advisory <br />Board because of their work on the Plaza, and the project benefited the public rather than <br />an individual. Matt Coyle further stated that the Daniel Gallery has done a lot of work on <br />facade of their building and are a sustainable business downtown, which is one of the <br />
