MINUTES <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />CITY OF PARIS - CITY HALL <br />COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />107 E. KAUFMAN STREET <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 2010 <br />12:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The Board of Adjustment meeting was called to order by Chairman Terry Christian at <br />12:00 p.m. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Chester Martindale <br />Allen Moore <br />Rick Hundley <br />Terry Christian, Chairman <br />Kyle McCarley <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />C. Also present was Shawn Napier, Director of Engineering, Planning and <br />Development. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (October S, 2010) <br />Motion was made by Rick Hundley, seconded by Chester Martindale to approve the <br />minutes from the October 5, 2010 meeting. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />3. Public hearing and consideration of and action on the petition of Vicki S. Golden to grant a <br />variance to Chapter 11.5 Fence Regulations, Section 11.5- 3(b)(1)(a) No fence shall be <br />permitted in the front yard, to allow a front yard fence on Lot 18-A, Block 1, Stellrose <br />Addition, being number 649 22nd Street S.E. <br />Public hearing was declared open. <br />A. The following individuals spoke in favor of the petition. <br />Marty Brunson, 184 PR 30255, daughter of petitioner. Ms. Brunson stated her <br />mother has had heart surgery and is unable to get up down the back steps to let her <br />dog out. They had Mr. Pridemore put the fence up not knowing that had to have a <br />permit before installing a fence. Ms. Brunson further stated that she will not be able <br />to keep her dog and would have to go to a long term care facility. Ms. Golden has <br />had problems with people coming up to her house and asking for money and the <br />
