MINUTES <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />CITY OF PARIS - CITY HALL <br />COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />107 E. KAUFMAN STREET <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />WEDNESDAY, MARCH 23, 2011 <br />12:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The Board of Adjustment meeting was called to order by Chairman Terry Christian at <br />12:02 p.m. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Allen. Moore <br />Rick Hundley <br />Terry Christian, Chairman <br />Kyle McCarley <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Chester Martindale <br />C. Also present was Jeanna Scott, City Staff. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (March 1, 2011) <br />Motion was made by Kyle McCarley, seconded by Rick Hundley to approve minutes for <br />the March 1, 2011 meeting. Motion carried 4 -0. <br />3. Public hearing and consideration o f and action on the petition of Katherine Hughes to <br />grant a variance of'Zoning Ordinance 1710, (a)Section 9 -500 which provides that the <br />"minimum font yard in a Single- Family Dwelling District No. 3 (SF -3) be no less than 25 <br />feet " to allow a minimum front yard of I5 feet, which is a lO foot variance; and (b) Section <br />9- 602(5) which provides that "a corner lot used for one family or two family dwellings <br />both street exposures shall be treated as front yards on all lots platted after the effective <br />date of this ordinance, except that where one street exposure is designated as a side yard <br />by a building line shown on a plat approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />containing a side yard of ten (10) feet or more the building line provisions on that plat shall <br />be observed. " to allow a minimum side yard of 16.9 feet, which is a 8 foot, 10 inch <br />variance, on Lot 6, Block 6, Williams Addition, being number 1401 7" Street N.E. <br />Public hearing was declared open. <br />A.
