MINUTES <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />CITY OF PARIS - CITY HALL <br />COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />107 E. KAUFMAN STREET <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />TUESDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2011 <br />12:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The Board of Adjustment meeting was called to order by Chairman Terry Christian at <br />12:00 p.m. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Allen Moore <br />Rick Hundley <br />Terry Christian, Chairman <br />Kyle McCarley <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Bryan Glass <br />Jerry Hanning <br />Marilyn Smith <br />C. Also present was Jeanna Scott, City Staff. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (June 21, 2011) <br />Motion was made by Rick Hundley, seconded by Allen Moore to approve minutes for <br />the June 21, 2011 meeting. Motion carried 4 -0. <br />3. Public hearing and consideration of and action on the petition of Stevie Jackson to grant <br />a variance of Zoning Ordinance 1710, Section 9- 602(5) which provides that "on a corner <br />lot used for one family or two-family dwellings both street exposures shall be treated as <br />front yards, with a minimum side yard width of twenty five feet" to allow a 10 foot <br />minimum side yard width, which is a 15 foot variance, on Lot 15, Block 1, Lane Place <br />Addition, being located in the 1300 Block of 14'x' Street N.E. <br />Public hearing was declared open. <br />A. The following individuals spoke in favor of the petition: <br />Stevie Jackson, 1211 M. L. K Jr. Drive, property owner, spoke in favor of the petition. <br />Mr. Jackson stated he is planning on building a home on the property. The home will face <br />14th Street and be approximately 30 feet wide and 24 feet deep. The proposed home will be <br />
