MINUTES <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />CITY OF PARIS - CITY HALL <br />COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />107 E. KAUFMAN STREET <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />TUESDAY, DECEMBER 6, 2011 <br />12:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />The Board of Adjustment meeting was called to order by Vice - Chairman Kyle McCarley at <br />12:02 p.m. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Allen Moore <br />Rick Hundley <br />Terry Christian, Chairman (arrived at 12:07) <br />Kyle McCarley <br />Bryan Glass <br />Jerry Hanning <br />Marilyn Smith (arrived at 12:04) <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />None <br />C. Also present was Jeanna Scott, City Staff. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (October 4, 2011) <br />Motion was made by Allen Moore, seconded by Rick Hundley to approve minutes for <br />the October 4, 2011 meeting. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />3. Public hearing and consideration of and action on the petition of Linda and Tommy Harris <br />to grant a variance of Zoning Ordinance 1710, Section 9- 602(5) which provides that "on a <br />corner lot used for one family or two-family dwellings both street exposures shall be <br />treated as front yards, with a minimum side yard width of twenty five (25)feet " to allow a <br />three (3) foot minimum side yard width, which is a twenty -two (22) foot variance, on Lot <br />North 60' of 6 and 7, Block 5, Belmont Addition, being located at 971 14`h Street N.E. <br />Public hearing was declared open. <br />A. The following individuals spoke in favor of the petition: <br />Tommy Harris, 2850 Ridgeview, property owner spoke in favor of the petition. Mr. <br />Harris stated a car ran thru the fence, tearing a large section out. They are proposing <br />to put the fence back using a 6 foot privacy fence and extend it 20 feet further up the <br />
