5. Update from Code Enforcement <br />(1) There were 10 properties on the list to demo and Robert Talley said that 8 <br />properties have been done and one is in the process of being done. Don <br />Wilson asked why only 9 and Robert Talley stated that the property owner <br />of 737 NW 14th took care of the demolition of the carport. <br />(2) Robert Talley stated that we are almost out of money for demolitions. He <br />said that we had to pay upfront for the six houses that the Resource <br />Management grant will pay us back once the project is complete. Don <br />Wilson stated that if we are going to be reimbursed for the six demolitions <br />we should go ahead and do more demolitions. Robert Talley stated once <br />we see where were at on demo's we can see where we can go with doing <br />more. He did state that the Sanitation Solutions contract allows 15 houses <br />to be partially free or 7 houses to be completely demolished. Don Wilson <br />stated that Robert needs to figure out where we stand before the end of the <br />budget year. <br />(2) The Commission asked about 260 S. Main, property owned by Kenny <br />Kammer. Robert stated that the inspector has been hired for $1500 to <br />inspect the property. Shawn Napier is handling this now. <br />(3) Johnny Norris asked about Cherry Street Manor. Robert Talley stated that <br />there is talk of a Tax Sale of this property. He stated if we had the money <br />we could tear this property down today. <br />6. Future Agenda Items <br />Don Wilson asked if the Fire Department has turn in any properties to us for <br />demolition or if we have other properties to demo. Robert Talley stated we do <br />have properties to work. <br />Robert Talley talked about working with David Whitaker at the Paris Police <br />Department on several items and how we have had several property owners sign <br />off on the consents to let the City of Paris demolish the properties. Example was <br />753 E. Polk. <br />7. Adjournment <br />Motion was made by Chris Brown, seconded by Johnny Norris to adjourn <br />the meeting at 4:58pm.
