REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PARIS CITY HALL <br />CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />107 E. KAUFMAN STREET <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />MONDAY, JUNE 26.2006 <br />4:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by <br />Chairman Arvin Starrett at 4:00 P.M. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Arvin Starrett, Chairman <br />Sue Lancaster <br />Jerry Raper <br />Pike Burkhart <br />Alternate: Brian Wear <br />Beck! Norment <br />The following members were absent: <br />Ann Rogers, Secretary <br />Claudia Hunt <br />Paul Denney <br />B. Also present was Lisa Wright, Historic Preservation Officer; and Mayor <br />Richard Manning. <br />2. Consideration of and action on the following Certificates ofAppropriateness: <br />A. 111 LamarAvenue - Kari and Josiah Daniel. Kari Daniel wants to start <br />taking down brick windows and remove the green point. She advised <br />that they had found chemicals that will strip the paint. Josiah stated <br />that if transoms are there, they plan to uncover those. If they are in not <br />in good condition, the transoms will probably be put back up. Window <br />casing is behind the brick on the upper floors to provide guidance on <br />what kind of window should be placed there. Arvin Starrett stated that <br />when unbricking, temporary blankers can be used. Motion was made <br />to approve the COA by Sue Lancaster, seconded by Becki Norment. <br />Motion carried 6 -0. <br />B. 380 Bonham Street- Steven Asay for Texas Furniture. No action taken <br />because the property owners are considering another design. <br />C. 130-A Bonham Street - Liberty Swim. Motion was made to approve the <br />COA by Brian Wear, seconded by Jerry Raper. Motion carried 6 -0. <br />
