B. 265 1st Street S.E. - Richard Hunt - Richard Hunt, 405 W. Kaufman, is <br />proposing to replace rotted materials and install a canopy. Paul <br />Denney stated that suspended style seems more sympathetic to <br />downtown. Mr. Hunt stated that he prefers a suspended flat roof, also. <br />Motion was made to approve the COA by Brian Wear, seconded by <br />Susan Scholz. Motion carried 7 -0. <br />C. 3 South Plaza - Matthew Coyle - C - Matt Coyle, 114 S. Main, stated that <br />they are proposing to uncover the wood windows on the S. Main side. <br />The trim will be painted to match the metal frames on the existing <br />windows and storefront. Motion was made to approve the COA by <br />Brian Wear, seconded by Susan Scholz. Motion carried 7 -0. <br />D. 131 Lamar Avenue - Bob Bowden - Bob Bowden, 2240 Culbertson, <br />would like to install a 2 -sided sign, 2" thick metal frame, hollow in the <br />middle. It will be 3' above the canopy. Motion was made to approve the <br />COA by Pike Burkhart, seconded by Susan Scholz. Motion carried 7 -0. <br />E. 523 Church Street- Matt and Amelia Frierson - Richard Hunt, contractor <br />on this project, stated that he proposes to add a kitchen to the <br />southeast corner and north side. Motion was made to approve the COA <br />by Pike Burkhart, seconded by Susan Scholz. Motion carried 7 -0. <br />F. 333 Grand Avenue - The Salvation Army- Major Tex Ellis stated that the <br />proposed canvass is identical to the one over Peoples. It is solid <br />brown with a straight edge. Motion was to approve the COA by Brian <br />Wear, seconded by Nancy Partridge. Motion carried 7 -0. <br />G. 115 S. Main Street - Becki Norment - Motion was made to approve the <br />COA by Nancy Partridge, seconded by Susan Scholz. Motion carried <br />7 -0. <br />H. 574 Church Street - Steven Asay, Agent for Owner - Steven Asay <br />presented an old photo to show what he intends to put back. Arvin <br />Starrett advised the Commission that he has looked at the property, <br />and the proposed changes are appropriate. The carport is not original, <br />so SOI standards would not preclude adding to it. Mr. Asay is <br />proposing to add decking over the front porch coming forward <br />approximately 5'. Motion was made to approve the COA by Paul <br />Denney, seconded by Nancy Partridge. Motion carried 7 -0. <br />1. 322 Church Street- Episcopal Day School, by Suzy Harper- Motion was <br />made to approve the COA by Brian Wear, seconded by Susan Scholz. <br />Motion carried 7 -0. <br />
