MINUTES <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PARIS CITY HALL <br />CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />107 E. KAUFMAN STREET <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />THURSDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2006 <br />12:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by <br />Chairman Arvin Starrett at 12:02 P.M. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Arvin Starrett, Chairman <br />Sharon Nabors <br />Nancy Partridge <br />Susan Scholz <br />Alternate: Brian Wear <br />The following members were absent: <br />Paul Denney <br />Pike Burkhart <br />Ann Rogers <br />Alternate: Vanessa Preston <br />B. Also present was Lisa Wright, Historic Preservation Officer. <br />2. Consideration of and action on clarifying Section II.A.4, of the Design <br />Guidelines for the Downtown Historic District. - Chairman Starrett advised the <br />Commission that they had been provided with a proposed revision to clear up <br />some vague wording. Motion was made by Brian Wear, seconded by Nancy <br />Partridge, to approve the proposed revisions with the additional of "even 3 <br />divided windows." Motion carried 4 -0. <br />Susan Scholz arrived at 12:04 P.M. <br />3. Consideration of and action on the following Certificate of Appropriateness: <br />A. 111 LamarAvenue - Kari Daniel - Josiah Daniel, 2075 Sycamore, stated <br />that he would like to put in aluminum windows. Arvin Starrett passed <br />around a drawing to the Commissioners that the Daniels brought to the <br />meeting. In order to meet the guidelines, Chairman Starrett mentioned <br />the addition of an exterior mullion to bring the window into <br />conformance as to the style. It will give the look of 3 divided lights, <br />
