MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />CITY HALL WEST ANNEX <br />CONFERENCE ROOM <br />150 1ST STREET S.E. <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />MONDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 2005 <br />4:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission Meeting was called to order by <br />Chairman Arvin Starrett at 4:00 P.M. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Barbara Wilson, Vice - Chairman <br />Ann Rodgers, Secretary <br />Sue Lancaster <br />Paul Denney <br />Alternates: Brian Wear <br />Becki Norment <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Claudia Hunt <br />Jerry Raper <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. Motion to approve the minutes <br />from the April 12, 2004; April 26,2004; April 30, 2004; September 27, 2004; and <br />February 9, 2005, meetings was made by Sue Lancaster, seconded by Ann <br />Rodgers. Motion carried 6 -0. <br />3. Consideration of and action on the following Certificates ofAppropriateness: <br />A. 265 S. Main Street - Gibraltar Renovations, Inc. Motion to excuse <br />Barbara Wilson from the meeting was made by Paul Denney, seconded <br />by Sue Lancaster. Motion carried 6 -0. <br />Don Wilson presented drawings to the Commission showing the <br />proposed work. Motion to approve (1) removal of the elevator <br />penthouse, (2) modifications to the windows on the south elevation, <br />and (3) exposing four bay windows on the west side of the building was <br />made by Ann Rodgers, seconded by Sue Lancaster. Motion carried 6 -0. <br />Ann Rodgers thanked Mr. Wilson and stated that this was the first COA <br />application she has ever been able to look at and see exactly what the <br />applicant wants. <br />
