MINUTES <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />CITY HALL WEST ANNEX <br />CONFERENCE ROOM <br />150 1ST STREET S.E. <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />WEDNESDAY, MARCH 9, 2005 <br />12:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission Meeting was called to order by Vice - <br />Chairman Barbara Wilson at 12:00 P.M. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Ann Rodgers, Secretary <br />Sue Lancaster <br />Claudia Hunt <br />Alternates: Brian Wear <br />Becki Norment <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Arvin Starrett, Chairman <br />Paul Denney <br />Jerry Raper <br />C. Also present was Lisa Wright, Historic Preservation Officer; Bethany <br />Golden, Asst. Historic Preservation Officer; and Tony Williams, City <br />Manager <br />2. Consideration of and action on the following Certificate of Appropriateness: <br />A. 130 N. Main Street - J. T. Bryan - Mr. Bryan advised the Commission <br />that he was located a little further down the street and that he had <br />moved locations, but because he could not place the sign on the <br />awning as it was at his previous location, he had to place the sign on <br />a wall facing on- coming traffic. Barbara Wilson told the Commission <br />they were approving the placement of the sign since the sign itself was <br />pre- existing. Motion to approve the COA was made by Ann Rodgers, <br />seconded by Sue Lancaster.
