4. Consideration of and action on granting the following requests for facade <br />grants: <br />A. 123 S. Main - G. I. Hodges by Richard Hunt. Claudia Hunt recused <br />herself from this item. Motion to approve the grant was made by <br />Barbara Wilson, seconded by Jerry Raper. Motion carried 7 -0. Motion <br />to return Claudia Hunt to the meeting was made by Sue Lancaster, <br />seconded by Ann Rogers. Motion carried 7 -0. <br />5. Consideration of and possible action on amendments to the proposed Design <br />Guidelines for the Downtown Historic District as the same relates to canopies. <br />Motion to omit "horizontal" from Item c. was made by Barbara Wilson, <br />seconded by Paul Denny. Motion carried 7 -0. <br />6. Consideration ofand possible action on amendments to the proposed Design <br />Guidelines for the Downtown Historic District as the same relates to <br />fenestrations and openings. Bethany Golden advised that the Historic <br />Preservation Officer had requested that the Commission table this item until <br />both she and Arvin Starrett could be present. Motion to table was made by <br />Sue Lancaster, seconded by Jerry Raper. Motion carried 7 -0. <br />7. Item 3. Consideration of and action on the following Certificates of <br />Appropriateness: <br />A. 116 1st Street S.E. - Casey Rose and Walt Brown. No one was present <br />to speak on this item. Motion to table was made by Paul Denny, <br />seconded by Ann Rogers. Motion carried 7 -0. <br />8. Item 7. Receipt of report from the Historic Preservation Officer. The Assistant <br />HPO handed out the attached report. <br />9. Item 8. Request items from Board for future agendas. The Commission <br />requested a discussion items on outside storage, awnings, and materials <br />acceptable for fencing and boarding windows. <br />10.
