MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />CITY HALL WEST ANNEX <br />CONFERENCE ROOM <br />150 1 ST STREET S.E. <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />MONDAY, JUNE 27, 2005 <br />4:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by <br />Chairman Arvin Starrett at 4:00 P.M. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Barbara Wilson, Vice Chairman <br />Sue Lancaster <br />Paul Denney <br />Jerry Raper <br />Alternate: Becki Norment <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Ann Rodgers, Secretary <br />Claudia Hunt <br />C. ' Also present was Lisa Wright, Historic Preservation Officer. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. Motion to approve the minutes <br />of the June 8, 2005, meeting was made by Sue Lancaster, seconded by <br />Barbara Wilson. Motion carried 6 -0. <br />3. Consideration of and action on the following Certificates ofAppropriateness: <br />A. 3 S. Plaza - Lee Roy Moore. Alex Pickering of Scott's Signs presented <br />the proposal to paint a sign at East Texas Outdoors. Motion to approve <br />the sign and paint color (deep mahogany brown, lightened with white <br />to a chocolate brown tone) was made by Paul Denny, seconded by Sue <br />Lancaster. Motion carried 6 -0. <br />B. 825 S. Main Street- Barney W. Bray, III. Chairman Starrett advised that <br />Brad Hutchison was in Washington and New York, but all he wants to <br />do is temporarily board the windows and doors during a remodeling <br />period. Motion to approve temporary boarding for 90 days was made <br />by Barbara Wilson, seconded by Sue Lancaster. Motion carried 6 -0. <br />- - - -- CONSENT AGENDA ----- <br />
